Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups inexpensive brandy or aquavit
1 bottle inexpensive red wine
8 whole cloves
3 cardamom pods crushed
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup blanched almonds
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
In large saucepan, place brandy, wine, cloves, crushed
cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, raisins and almonds and
granulated sugar. (Well, I guess that means everything
EXCEPT the brown sugar!) Set over medium-high heat and
stir frequently to dissolve the sugar. Just before the mixture
boils, carefully ignite it by touching a burning match to the
surface. Sprinkle brown sugar onto the flames. After 10
seconds, extinguish the flames by covering the pan with its
lid. To serve, spoon some raisins and almonds out of the
mixture into cups before adding the GLÖGG.
