3 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/3 c warm water
Lard or shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add warm water and mix. Dough should be soft but not sticky. Knead until smooth. Tear off a chunk about the size of a peach. Pat and stretch until it is thin. Poke a hole through the middle and drop into sizzling hot deep fat (Lard is traditional). Brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with honey.
