1 head of cabbage shredded
1 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 green pepper chopped
1 c. carrots shredded
3 stalks celery chopped

Directions:
Directions:
In medium sauce pan boil white vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed for 1 minute. Cool. Pour over cabbage, green pepper, carrots and celery. Fill containers and freeze. Remove from freezer 1 hour before serving.

This recipe is great because you can always have a salad available in just a few minutes without any work, just take it out of the freezer. This recipe I learned from my Mom. She taught me to cook when I was 5. She was a beautiful singer and would always sing no matter what job we did It made the jobs go faster and I learned wonderful songs too. I have very wonderful, warm memories cooking with my Mom.
