1 tbsp dry yeast
2 tbsp warm water
1/2 tbsp honey
1 egg, slightly beaten
2/3 c buttermilk
2 1/4 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add honey, egg, and buttermilk. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Cut butter into flour mixture to make a cornmeal-like texture. Combine buttermilk mixture and flour. Pat dough together; do not knead. Pat to approximately 1/2 inch thick. Cut biscuits and place nearly touching in greased cake pans. Let rise in warm place for about 30 minutes, or until doubled in size. Bake for 10 minutes.
