3 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
2/3 cup 2% milk
1/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/3 cup currants or raisins or dried cranberries

Topping:
1/2 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup granulated sugar

Directions:
In a small bowl, beat 3 Tablespoons butter and the 1/3 cup sugar until well blended. Then beat in orange peel and egg. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and coriander. Stir milk into butter mixture then add to dry mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts and currants. Spoon into greased medium-sized muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
Bake 375 until muffins are golden and tops spring back when touched, about 20-25 minutes.
Remove each muffin from the muffin tin and dip the top of each muffin in the 1/2 cup melted butter, then into the cinnamon mixed with sugar. Serve warm.
