32 oz. frozen Hash Browns
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup of chopped onions ( I typically add more)
1 stick margarine, melted
12 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 can milk (use soup can)
1 (8 oz.) carton of sour cream
plain bread crumbs
salt
pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Sauté onions in margarine. Remove from heat. Then combine onions with milk, soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, and 1/2 of cheese in a bowl. Add hash browns to this mix. Place in casserole dish. Bake for 1 hour at 325ºF. Uncover and top with the remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Bake again at 325ºF for an additional 15 minutes.
