"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
All I ever learned about apples came from Sue Kvach Kramer. She and Dave had an apple orchard and one year, she gave us several varieties to enjoy. I made lots of pies just so we could taste the difference. Dave and I agree that McIntosh and Jonathon are the only apples for pies. The taste is tart and the apple soft.
