2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
1 cup shortening

Directions:

Mix as for pastry. Beat 2 egg yolks and add milk to equal 2/3 cup. Add egg mixture to crust. Roll out 1/2 dough into bar pan. Cover with 1 cup crushed corn flakes.

Combine: 6 apples (diced), 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 1/4 cup sugar and 1/8 tsp salt.
Place on cornflakes. Top with rolled out remaining pastry. Sprinkle with sugar - pierce top of crust with fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Frost with swirled powdered sugar icing.
