1 and 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup shortening
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup coffee
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
1 cup honey
10 drops anise oil
5 1/2 - 6 cups flour
4 teaspoons soda

Directions:
Directions:
This is a very soft dough. Drop by spoon on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for
8-12 minutes.

Frosting: 1 package Knox gelatine, dissolved in 3/4 cup cold water. Add 3/4
cup white sugar and pinch of salt. Bring to boil, simmer 10 minutes. Add to
3/4 cup powdered sugar and beat until foamy. Add 3/4 teaspoon baking powder,
beat until stiff. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 4 drops anise oil.
