1/3 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/2 c milk
melted butter
cinnamon sugar

Directions:

Mix shortening, sugar and egg. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Add dry ingredients to shortening mixture alternately with milk starting and ending with dry ingredients.
Fill greased muffin tins and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from tins and while still warm roll in melted butter and then in the cinnamon sugar.
