1 c white sugar
1 c melted butter
1 1/4 c flour
1 3/4 c oatmeal
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 c chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 c flaked coconut
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Mix all ingredients well. Spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for about 10 minutes. Set on wire rack to cool. Frost with melted almond bark.

Recipe was from a friend, Dolly Olson. It has become a family favorite. Can be doubled. Freezes well.
