3c water
1c sugar
1 lemon sliced thinly
1 orange sliced thinly
1 lime sliced thinly
4 cinnamon stick
15 whole cloves
1 bottle red wine (Cheap Burgundy)
1/4 c brandy

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer all but wine and brandy in a cooking pot for 10 minutes. Pour in a crock pot, add in the wine and heat back up until warm to the touch. DO NOT BOIL.

Add in brandy and let sit for a while to absorb the flavors. Serve warm.

We had Gluwein similar to this hot mulled wine in the German Market at Christmas in Hamburg. Wonderful drink for Christmas get together.
