1 lb Italian sausage 1 clove garlic 1 1Sm onion
1 Tbs. whole basil 1/2 t oregano 1/4 tsp
rosemary
1 1/2 tsp salt 2 1Sm cans Italian stewed
tomatoes
1 lg. can tomato sauce 10 oz lasagna noodle 2 tbs. parsley
flakes
3 C Ricotta cheese 1/2 C grated Parmesan or Romano
2 Beaten Eggs 2 Tsp salt 1/2
pepper 1 lb course grated mozzarella cheese
Note Italian sausage - whole mild, slit casing and take meat
out!!

Brown sausage meat slowly, break or cut into small chunks.
Drain
Add chopped onion, garlic, bail, rosemary, oregano, tomatoes,
and tomato sauce to browned sausage and simmer.
Cook noodles in large amount of salted water,drain, rinse.
Combine ricotta, parmesan, parsley flakes, eggs, salt &
pepper - whip or stir with spoon until completely mixed Keep
grated Mozzarella Cheese separate. Place 1/2 noodles in
13X9X2 dish, spread with 1/2 ricotta cheese filling, add half
the Mozzarella cheese, then half meat sauce mixture. Repeat
layers.
Bake 375 for 30-45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes.

Note: Aunt Barb experiments with amounts on ingredients,
usually adds 3-4 eggs in Ricotta mixture (that’s why hers is so
good!!)
