1 Whole tomato 1 10 oz can whole clams with juice
2 cloves garlic 1 6-1/2 oz can chopped clams
1 onion 1 diced potato
chopped parsley 1 diced carrot
olive oil 1 med. celery stalk with leaves -
chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Brown (slightly) onions, garlic in olive oil. Add remaining
ingredients to about 1 -1/2 quarts of water. Season to taste with
salt and pepper. Simmer for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
Serves about 4 people.
Double recipe for 8 (this is where Denise gets her math from!)
Garnish with grated Parmesan or Romano cheese and serve
with French Bread. (see the Italians do need the French!)
