1 qt. Water
1 C Prunes
(dried apricots, apples, cherries, etc. can also be used)


½ C Rice or tapioca
¼ C Lemon Juice or vinegar
2 Sticks Cinnamon
Sugar to taste

Cook dried fruit and water in a large pot until tender:
Add other ingredients. Cook until thick. Serve hot or cold with cream.
