Oatmeal Molasses Cookie Recipe

Mix together:
1 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
3/4 c. brown molasses
Sift together and stir in:
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
Stir in:
4 c. rolled oats
2 c. raisins

Drop large mound on cookie sheet and press flat with bottom of glass. (I don't bother to flatten.) Frost with conf. sugar and milk glaze if desired.

Bake at 375, 8 minutes (approx depending on size). Don't over bake.
