1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1/2" thick, cut into serving size pieces
2 cups sliced onions
4.5 oz can whole mushrooms, drained
10 1/2 oz can condensed beef broth
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 325. In large ovenproof skillet, Dutch oven or baking dish, combine all ingredients, except cornstarch and water. Cover; bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until meat is almost tender. In small bowl, combine cornstarch and water; stir into meat mixture. Bake for 15 minutes or until gravy is thickened.

This recipe makes plenty of gravy to spoon over mashed potatoes. The meat will be very flavorful and tender after long baking.
