2 T butter
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 medium onion
14 1/2 oz can crushed tomatoes with puree
1/4 c dry white wine
1 T tomato paste
1/2 ts sugar
salt to taste
pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Heat butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add onion; saute until soft. Add garlic; saute 30 seconds. Add tomatoes, the wine, tomato paste, sugar and seasonings. Heat to boiling; reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
