1 1/3 canned sweetened condensed milk
1 C water
1/8 t salt
1 T vanilla extract
2 C light or heavy cream

Directions:

Combine ingredients. Freeze in a 2 qt freezer until difficult to turn. Use 8 parts crushed ice to 1 part ice cream salt. Makes about 1 1/4 qt.

Can easily double this recipe if your freezer is big enough.

This one is so easy, there is no reason not to make your own at least once a year. You can add other stuff when the ice cream is starting to get stiff. Pecans, peaches, chocolate chips...
