Use dough for the Italian Fig Cookies, roll small pieces of dough into size of little finger with hands, dip into mixture of beaten egg and a little water, roll in roasted sesame seeds, and bake at 350 degrees until brown.

I remember these around our house in New Rochelle at a very young age. My parents, aunts and uncles were crazy about these, but somehow, I never developed a taste even until this day. They are a popular Italian cookie, however, so I decided to include it.

I remember Uncle John, Aunt Mary's husband, call them Frances Ann cookies, just so I would eat one. It didn't work!!
