Almond Shortbread Bars Recipe

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. flour

3 T. butter
3 to 4 T. brown sugar (packed)
3/4 t. vanilla
3/4 t. lemon juice
3/4 to 1 c. sliced almonds

Combine ingredients for shortbread and pat into 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 10 - 12 min. at 350.
Then, add brown sugar to 3 T. melted butter, lemon, and vanilla in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stir, and remove from heat. Add almonds and spread over crust. Bake 15 min. at 350.
