2 apples - thinly sliced
3/4 c. liquid (water or juice- apple, orange, grape-raspberry etc.)
1/3 c. raisins
2 T. sugar
1/4 t. cinnamon
1 T. butter
1/2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
In a skillet, combine all ingredients except the butter and vanilla and simmer until the apples are tender. Thicken with a little cornstarch ( 1 t. to 1 T.) mixed with water. Cook and stir until it's thickened and bubbly (at least 2 min.). Stir in butter and vanilla.

I like to serve this with a Puffy Oven Pancake, but it's also great as a side dish with ham.
