½ c peanut butter
1 T vanilla extract
½ c margarine
1 c plain flour
1 ½ c sugar
1 ½ tsp. Baking powder
2 eggs
½ tsp. Salt



Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 º. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Melt peanut buter and margarine in bowl over hot water or in microwave at low heat. Add remaining ingredients to peanut butter and margarine and stir until blended. Spread in pan, use fingers if necessary to spread evenly in pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

I start getting calls early in December telling me to make sure I make the Peanut Butter Bars. They are always packed in tins for gifts to the family. These were the all time favorite of my late son Tim.
