1 cup luke warm Water
1/3 cup melted Shortening
1 T. Sugar
2 t. Salt
2 cakes compressed Yeast or 2 pkgs Dry Granular Yeast
1 Egg
3 1/2 cup sifted Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine water, shortening, sugar and salt. Add yeast and mix well. Blend in egg and add flour. Mix until dough is well blended and soft. Roll out on well floured board and fit into greased 8x12 pan. Cut dough into rectangles 1x4" with knife that has been dipped in melted butter. Let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 30 min.

Bake in hot oven @ 400 for 20 min.
