3/4 C. butter
1-1/2 C. granulated sugar
1-1/2 C. mashed ripe bananas, about 3 bananas
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. buttermilk or sour milk (add 2 tsp. vinegar to regular milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Add sugar to butter gradually, cream well. Add remaining ingredients and blend just until well combined. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan (9x5x3) and bake at 350 for 1 hour 20 minutes.
I usually make a few muffins, otherwise my loaf pan overflows!
