1 pkg yeast
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
7 cups flour
3 tbsp shortening
2 cups water (cooler than lukewarm)

Directions:
Directions:
put yeast in bowl, add sugar, salt and water, add beaten egg, Sift flower once before measuring. Add half flower and beat well. Add melted shortening and mix in remainder of flour with hands, let rise to double in bulk

Punch down, cover tightly and place in ice box. Make in rolls and let rise double.

bake 20 minutes in hot oven 425 degrees
