Bread Pudding
2 cups milk
2 cups coarse bread crumbs
1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup seedless raisins
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Whiskey Sauce
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup whiskey

Directions:

Bread Pudding
1. Scald milk and pour over bread crumbs.
2. Cool and add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
3. Pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
4. Place casserole in pan of hot water (1 inch deep) and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until a silver knife inserted into pudding come out clean.

Whiskey Sauce
1. Cook and stir butter and sugar in heavy saucepan until mixture is very hot and sugar dissolved.
2. Add small amount of sugar mixture to egg and stir together.
3. Add egg quickly and beat together until smooth.
4. Cool slightly and add whiskey.
Serve hot or cold over pudding
