1 pound ground chuck or hamburger
1/2 cup minced fresh onion
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 small can tomato sauce
1/4 cup water
Sprinkle of salt
Sprinkle of pepper
1 large egg
2 cups mashed potatoes, mashed without butter

Directions:
Directions:
Brown meat in a 10 inch skillet over medium high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until onion is tender. Drain off all fat. Stir in green pepper, tomato sauce, water, salt and pepper. Spoon the mixture into a 2 quart baking dish. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg into potatoes. Drop potatoes on top of meat in 1/4 cup dollops. Bake about 25 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned on top.
