1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cup milk
3 cups flour
1 cup ground raisins
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cloves
1/2 cup Lard
2 eggs - beaten
3 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup walnuts
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp allspice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add gradually while beating eggs, milk, rolled oats, raisins and chopped nuts. Mix and sift flour with remaining ingredients and add to first mixture. Drop from tip of spoon in a buttered cookie sheet, one inch apart. Bake 350º
for 15 minutes.
