1 large red onion
butter
1 strip bacon, cut in half
salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Peel & core onion. Leave onion intact but quarter with a sharp knife almost all the way through. Fill core with butter and rub the onion with butter over the outside.

Criss cross with bacon strips. Salt and pepper. Put in center of a large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Add 1 tbs of water. Fold over foil and seal tightly but leave enough space for onion to steam. Put on hot grill for 1 hour.
