Filling:
1 package of dates
1 tbsp flour
1/4 sugar

Cookie:
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. crisco
3 eggs
1 tsp soda
1/4 c hot water
3 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Filling:
Boil 1 package of dates (cover with water-not too much). Add 1 tbsp of flour and 1/4 cup sugar. Boil a few minutes and then cool. Add a little butter and vanilla.

Cookie:
Blend together brown sugar, crisco, eggs, 1 tsp soda in 1/4 cup hot water, flour, salt and vanilla.

Drop 1 tsp on cookie on cookie sheet. Put on some filling. Cover with more cookie dough. Bake at 350º.
