1 pound orange slices, cut fine
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup Crisco or 2 sticks oleo
4 eggs
1 teaspoon soda in 1/2 cup buttermilk
1 heaping tablespoon grated orange rind
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1/2 pound cocoanut
3 cups chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Mix orange slices with 1 1/2 cups flour. Cream sugar, shortening; add eggs one at a time, mixing well each time. Add 1 cup flour with milk and soda mixture, then add orange rind and lemon extract. Add other ingredients and pour into greased tube pan. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 325.

Icing

1 cup orange juice
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour this on while cake still hot in pan.
