1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup quick cooking oats (not cooked)
1 cup coconut
1 cup gumdrops, cut in small pieces

Directions:

Mix well, drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for about 12 minutes. Makes 4 doz.
