6 slices day-old bread
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. white vinegar
1 Tbsp. mustard
1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Soak bread in water. Squeeze out excess moisture. Combien bread, meat, egg, seasonings, onion and 1/2 can tomato sauce; mix well. Shape into a loaf in a shallow bakig dish. Combine remaining sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and water. Pour this over meat loaf. Bake at 350º for 1 hour, basting occasionally.
