4 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup shortening or salad oil
water

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Cut in shortening. Add a little water, just enough to hold together as for pie crust. Roll and cut in small 2 inch squares or triangles. Fry in deep very hot lard or oil. They will puff up. Serve hot with jelly or honey. Delicious for breakfast and as a Spanish dessert.
