3 oz. cream cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp. grated onion
2/3 cup (2 2/3oz) grated parmesan cheese, reserving half for topping.
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1 baguette, thinly sliced
paprika
shrimp (optional) shelled, deveined and coarsely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300.
Mix first 5 ingredients. Set aside.
Cut baguette, thinly sliced and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 300 for 5 minutes to toast
Generously spread cheese mixture on rounds and sprinkle with a pinch of reserved parmesan cheese and a dash of paprika.

Broil until puffy and golden. Serve hot.

I can't remember when I tried this recipe or what occasion I made it for, but I had some fresh shrimp and added it, and well.....OMG. Give it a try. The original recipe is from Tidewater, but I made some changes.
