Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 Family Size teabags or 12 regular sized teabags
2 cups water
1 rounded cup sugar (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
For 1 gallon of iced tea place 4 Family Size teabags or 12 regular sized teabags in a glass 2-cup measuring cup filled with water to the 2-cup mark. (For 2 qts. cut the NUMBER of tea bags by half but use same amount of water and same micro time.)

Microwave on HIGH for 2 1/2 minutes.

If you like weak tea, pour immediately into pitcher with sugar, if desired (I use 1 cup sugar for a gallon of tea), dissolving the sugar, then filling pitcher with cold water to desired strength.

If you like your tea stronger, let it steep to the desired strength, then add to the sugar in the pitcher, mix and add cold water to desired strength.

I have let this tea stand steeping for hours before using it when I have made it ahead of time for backup during large family functions so that tea can quickly be made should we run out and it has NEVER been bitter...it only gets stronger, not bitter.

Upon the occasions when I do not needed it, I pull the bags out and pour the undiluted brew into a glass jar, cover tightly and refrigerate til I need to make more tea again and I dissolve my sugar with hot water, then add the brew and the cold water to taste!

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This is the way that my Mother taught me to make tea and it is WONDERFUL! Easy; never bitter:
A WORD OF CAUTION: NEVER sqeeze your teabags as this will make your tea bitter!
