8 or So Biscuts

2 TABLESPOONS BACON GREASE OR 2 PATS OF BUTTER.
2 TABLESPOON FLOUR
1 - 1 1/2 CUP MILK

Directions:
MELT GREASE OR BUTTER IN A SKILLET AND STUR IN FLOUR. BROWN THE FLOUR AND MIX WELL THEN POUR THE MILK SLOWLY AND LET IT THICKEN AS YOU STIR IT INTO THE FLOUR MIXTURE. ADD ENOUGHT MILK TO HAVE A NICE CREAMY CONSISTANCY. IF YOU HAVE TO STRAIN OUT THE LUMPS.

THIS WAS OUR MAIN BREAKFAST AS A CHILD. EDITH ALWAYS HAD BACON AND SAVED HER BACON GREASE FOR MAKING GRAVY. HOME MAKE BAKING POWDER BISCUTS AND WE HAD A MEAL. I STILL MAKE BACON, GRAVY, AND BISCUTS AND SCRAMBLED EGGS ON SAT. MORNING WHEN I HAVE MY FAMILY AROUND. SLM
