1 c. mashed potatoes
1 qt. potato water
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. oil
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast (rapid rise)

Directions:
Directions:
Save your potato water and add enough tap water to make sure 1 qt. Dissolve yeast in warm potato water. Mix eggs, sugar, oil and salt. Add yeast water and mashed potatoes. Use most of a 5 lb. bag of flour to make dough that is smooth and shiny - not too sticky. Let rise, poke down and refrigerate until ready to use. Allow rolls to raise until doubled and bake at 400.

Submitted by Marci Powell. The Shepherd family used to gather every Christmas morning at Grandpa and Grandma's house for as many sweet rolls as you could eat. I don't know how many Grandma used to make but with 15 grandkids, 10 of which are boys, I know it was a lot. After breakfast we would all sit down for gifts. Always a brand new pair of knitted slippers.
