2 lbs. fresh green beans
1/4 cup olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated romano cheese
salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions:
In a large skillet, bring some water to a boil to steam green beans until just tender. Drain. Set aside. Combine breadcrumbs, cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl, set aside. Place oil in the large frying pan and using a garlic press or hand mince garlic cloves, add to oil, when garlic starts to sizzle, add green beans and toss, until coated with oil

Mix half of the breadcrumb mixture with green beans and toss until coated. Heat through.

Sprinkle remaining breadcrumb mixture over top of the beans, cover and let sit, over low heat, until ready to serve. Serves 8.

These green beans are my favorite vegetable recipe of Grandma's. Mom tries to make them and they just aren't the same, so when Grandma comes over and Mom is making this dish, we have Grandma put it together. This recipe works well with fresh asparagus also.
