3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 1/12 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
2 small apples peeled and sliced thin

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Butter and flour a 9x9 inch pan. In an electric mixer fitted with the flat beater mix together sugar, butter and egg. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to liquids, stir in raisins last. Spread batter in pan. Arrange apple slices in fancy design on top of batter. Sprinkle top with 1 tsp. cinnamon, mixed with 2 tbs. sugar. Bake 25 - 35 minutes
