1/4 c melted butter,
1 c sugar,
2 eggs beaten,
3/4 c flour,
pinch of salt,
1 tsp vanilla,
1 tsp baking powder,
1 good cup of dates,
1 cc chopped nuts,
confectioners sugar

Directions:
Directions:
add sugar to melted butter...add eggs...mix flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla, dates, and nuts,....add to sugar mixture ... bake about 25 minutes at 350º. cut into finger shapes while still warm. dip in confectioners sugar

ma used 3/4 of an 8oz pkg of chopped dates..she. used 7x11 pan..cut in half then half again until there were 32 squares (now i know where i get my math ability!!!! judy)
