2 cups butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups oatmeal (ground to flour consistency)
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
24-ounces chocolate chips
One 8-ounce Hershey bar, finely ground
3 cups nuts (walnuts or pecans), finely ground

Preheat oven to 375º F. Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Put small amounts of oatmeal in a blender or food processor until it turns to flour. Mix together all dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture and blend thoroughly. Spoon dough in golf-ball size amounts onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 6-10 minutes at 375º F. Cookies are still soft when they come out of the oven.
