Meatballs:
1 lb. ground turkey meat (preferrably dark meat)
2 T. parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic
1 egg
bread crumbs
2 T. olive oil

Sauce:
1 small red onion chopped up
1 or 2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 c. red wine
1/4 c. water
1 can ground tomatoes
pinch of red pepper flakes
pinch of oregano
salt and pepper to taste

In a large bowl combine turkey meat with 1 clove garlic (already chopped), parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, and egg. Mix well and form into 1/2 inch meatballs. Heat the pan to medium-high temperature and coat with 1 T. of olive oil. When the pan is hot, put meatballs in turning them until they are mostly cooked (about 5 minutes). Set aside meatballs in a separate bowl to make the sauce.

For sauce, add 1 T. olive oil to coat the pan, then add 1 clove garlic and onion. After the onion starts to cook, pour tomatoes, wine, and water and stir vigorously. Add red pepper flakes, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. After the sauce begins to boil, place meatballs into the sauce, cover the pan, put the burner on low and cook for about 10-15 minutes stirring the meatballs and sauce occassionally. Serve on top of your favorite pasta or in a hero for a terrific sandwich.
