1 c. shortening, 2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 c. butter milk with a dab of water, 2 tsp. soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, Enough flour to make a dough to roll out and cut.

Directions:

Cream shortening, sugar, and eggs. Add other ingredients. Chill - roll out using cookie cutters. Cut and bake at 350º. Do not brown.
