1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. oatmeal
1 (14-oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 bag (12-oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

Set aside 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine. In a large bowl beat remaining butter for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar. Beat until well mixed. Add eggs and vanilla. Set aside.
In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and oats. Mix the wet mixture with the dry mixture.

Mix and melt in the microwave the chocolate, 2 tablespoons of butter, and sweetened condensed milk.

Press two-thirds (about 3 1/3 cups) of the oat mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 15x10" pan. Spread chocolate mixture over the oat mixture. Using your fingers, dot remaining oat mixture over the chocolate. Bake at 350º for 25 minutes, or until the top is lightly brown.
