Ingredients: 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 6 T. butter- room temperature 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tsp. grated lemon peel 1/2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. blueberries
Glaze: 3 T. lemon juice 1/3 c. sugar

Directions:Preheat over to 325º. Beat together butter, sugar, eggs and milk. Ddd dry ingredients to wet mixture. Fold in blueberries and lemon peel. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes in a loaf pan. Cool bread for about 10 minutes. Heat sugar and lemon juice in microwave until sugar is melted. Poke holes in top of bread and drizzle sugar-lemon juice mixture over the bread. |

Notes: Use frozen blueberries. Fresh blueberries tend to sink to the bottom of the batter. Dust the blueberries in a little flour before adding to the mix. Do not over mix. Freezes well.
