3 lbs. spare ribs
3 T salt
1 T thick shoyu
1 T liquor
1 T shoyu
1 piece ginger
flour
¾ c vinegar
1 c water or pineapple juice
1 c brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Season spareribs in salt, thick shoyu, liquor, shoyu and ginger for ½ hour. Slightly dredge spareribs in flour, deep fry and put in another pot. Add the vinegar, water or pineapple juice (Aunty Shirley used pineapple juice), and brown sugar Sweetened to individual taste. Simmer until tender, about 1 hour. Garnish with green onions and pineapple slices.
