3 - 5 lb brisket
1 envelope Lipton Onion Sup mix
1 cup or more BBQ sauce (Open Pit Original Recipe is what Nana used)
Freshly ground pepper
1 beer

Directions:
Directions:
Line flat broiler pan with foil. Place brisket in pan, fat side down. Sprinkle with the Lipton Onion Soup mix and cover with the BBQ sauce and fresh ground pepper on top. Wrap with foil and put in oven at 300º for 3 hours. Take out and gently turn the meat over (fat side up). Pour ⅔ of a beer over meat - drink the other ⅓! Wrap again and cook 1 more hour.

Let cool and slice very thin against the grain. Then put the slices back in the juices and cover. Put into refrigerator overnight. This is best made the day before serving.

Warm through when ready to serve.
