All you need is 1 can of chickpeas (drained and rinsed), 1/2 cup of vegetable broth, 1/4 cup of bbq sauce, olive oil for cooking, and salt, pepper, and garlic powder (season to taste). Over low-medium heat, cook the chickpeas in the olive oil and seasonings for ~ 2 mins. Next, add in the vegetable broth and bbq sauce, and give it a stir. Adjust the heat to medium and cover with a lid (stir on the chickpeas occasionally). Let simmer for 7 mins or until the liquid has absorbed.

I made the creamy bbq sauce by combining 1 1/2 tbsp of bbq sauce, 1 tbsp of vegan mayo, and 1 tsp of vegetable broth.
